...and I just found out Mary Ann has never seen "Green Acres".
What a tragically deprived childhood.
Clearly her parents did her a great disservice by not showing her that true happiness is to be found by husbands dragging their wives away from large American cities to places with dodgy electricity and questionably running water.
Oh, wait...
Never mind.

you knw I only vagely remember that show and at first I thought it was the Beverly Hillbillies.
Did you know that up till the other day Jason had never seen Undercover Blues? Or Hello Dolly? or Ann of green Gables?
I wonder if Netflix has any on DVD they could send?
i was forced to watch undercover blues... i bought megan hello dolly, but i won't watch it... and i've never seen ann of green gables. these seem to be the perkins girls' canon of classic films... oh, add to that the one with michael crawford in the suped up car. he's a spy i think. i'm not saying they're not entertaining films with little violence or swearing well suited for family viewing, but i think it's worth mentioning that MOST people have never heard of these movies.
i was surprised by this post, if i had to guess between the two of you, which one had never seen green acres, i would have guessed matthew. usually, when i ask megan if she's seen such and such show, she replies with "i wasn't allowed to watch that."
Becca and I showed Jason the "It takes a woman" sceen in Hello Dolly and he didn't think it was funny at all.
His family loves odd ball films.
The Big Bus
Zoro The Gay Blade
The Princess Bride
The Pink Panther (all of them)
Blazing Saddles
Just to name a few =)
Maybe most people haven't heard of Undercover Blues, but Anne of Green Gables? Hello Dolly?
They are CLASSICS!
I have seen all of those movies and shows. My wife introduced me to the world of "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers". It didn't take me long to figure out that the LDS movie making community needed to go for "Seven Brides for a Brother".
i totally agree with you on the seven brides for seven brother thing.
i've found that most of the time when people say 'oh you've got to see this', the movie turns out to be not as great as they think. someone was trying to tell me that i hadnt lived till i saw 'ferris bueller's day off', and i think they were pretty wrong.
